The rating stars used to be on the main screen, but is gone. Don't know if this is just because of running Tiger.

This was done intentionally, since I have a very compact interface, and music browsing is a more common function than rating modification, especially given that ratings can easily be changed with hotkeys. Do you have some good reason that it should be changed?

I can see your intention, and agree about the infrequent rating change. For some reason I can't explain, I guess I do like even just SEEING the rating, even if it can't be changed. But that already removes your compactness.

I do agree with you about the whole "seeing" the rating thing, and I tried to find a clean way to work the rating in, but I was unable to do so. Perhaps I could put it into the rotating LCD display?

Heh, great minds, as they say. :P
When I first eliminated the rating control, I did a few Photoshop mock-ups with rating stars over the cover art. Trust me, didn't look so hot. Perhaps I could do it only for a few seconds on song change or something? I'm not sure. I'll think about it.
