When I double click on the TuneConnect Server Installer, it opens System Preferences and then System Preferences closes immediately, I have the latest TuneConnect. I’m not positive if I have the correct version selected in the selection menu. It just says 2.0 in the TuneConnect application. I’m assuming the TuneConnect Server installer is trying to install some kind of System Preference, but is unable to. Not sure how to proceed. Thanks

Hey Ron,
One of my beta testers notified me of this bug earlier today: while the opening/closing System Preferences behavior is “normal” (though eliminated in the next release), the problem occurs when the directory into which the preference pane is to be installed doesn’t already exist. Two easy ways to fix this:
Hope it helps!

I used the first solution, and it worked. Thanks Matt.

No 2. works as well, + gives you an option where to install it.
Neat app, thanks folks.

having a problem with tune connect. I installed it on both my imac and ibook and using my ibook i can successfully connect to my imac and start its itunes playing. However my imac will not connect at all to my ibook (although it apears on the TuneConnect list)
all my etwrok settings on both machines are correct and both machines run through airport. To be honest im abit confused as to why its not working both ways. please any suggestions or advise would be apreciated
cheers,
Mike.

Hey Mike,
Can you tell me which version of OS X each machine is running, along with any “extraneous use situations” (ie, library file hosted on external hard drive, etc.)? Also, make sure you’ve installed the latest version of iTunes on both machines, that could fix things.
