I can't locate the devices. The servers are in place but a search so no device found and connecting results in an error time out. I am using Airport as my wireless router.

Well I'm not really sure where to begin with this. You have the server running on the computer you want to control, and you've started iTunes I assume? If you know the IP address of that computer, try clicking "Other..." on the TuneConnect connection screen, and see if you can get in that way.

I have my desk top compter (G4) (where I keep all my music hardwired to Airport. My laptop (an Intel MacPro - both are running Leopard) has TuneConnect on it and the server is on the desk top.
When I launch TuneConnect, I can see the G4 but it says that that is no connection. I can't connect either by the named device or by using its address.

IM me sometime from iChat on your laptop (mattpat1031), and I'll see if I can get in via Screen Sharing and check out what exactly is going on.

Updated description from duped bug:
I have my laptop (MacBook Pro - Intel) and desktop (G4) both running OSX.5 and TuneConnect 2.1 with the server on both.
The laptop sees both itself and the desktop; but it will not find the desktop to make the connection (seaching for devices results in a null result. I have iTunes turned on at the desktop.

It sounds to me like you have a firewall problem, do you have either the built-in Firewall or something like Little Snitch running that could be blocking the connection?
